Show Information

The show starts at 10 PM and lasts until midnight. You need to show up at least 30 minutes to 45 minutes before 10 PM to setup and get comfortable with the equipment. However, you are welcome to arrive as early as 9 PM to practice if you wish, just be sure to let me know when you plan on arriving. Also, you may want to bring some or all of the following:

  • Promotional material
  • slip mats
  • cartridges
  • mixer
  • CD players/controllers
  • your material

WREK has two Technics SL-1200M3D turntables, with a Stanton SK-5 mixer. A Mackie SRM350 will be available as a monitor. We also have some rack mount CD players which you will not be able to use in your set but are fine for some background music while we chat.

Additionally, you may want to utilize this opportunity to promote any upcoming shows or events that you are involved in. This program was started with the idea of helping to grow the Atlanta EDM scene, so help me help you (event info, ticket giveaways, etc). Send me a bio or other info on your career if you haven't already to be put online. If you have some loyal fans that would like to join us, please bring them along. However, the studio is not too large so no more than ten other people will fit comfortably.

One more important point:

  1. Make sure your material is clean. If there is any language in the mix that has offensive language ask me about it as soon as possible.

To get to WREK's studio:

From the North:

  1. From I-75/85 S take the North Ave. exit and head right towards GA Tech's campus. This would be a good time to call me so I can wait outside.
  2. After about 4 blocks take a right on Cherry St.
  3. You will then be forced to take a left at the stop sign.
  4. Continue around a bend to the right and then park as close to the first building on your right as possible. (This is the back of the Student Center).

From the South

  1. From I-75/85 N take the Spring St. exit and continue straight towards W. Peachtree St.
  2. Make a left onto W. Peachtree St.
  3. Immediately get into the left-most lane and turn left onto North Ave., towards GA Tech's campus. This would be a good time to call me so I can wait outside.
  4. Cross over the interstate and then after about 4 blocks take a right on Cherry St.
  5. You will then be forced to take a left at the stop sign.
  6. Continue around a bend to the right and then park as close to the first building on your right as possible. (This is the back of the Student Center).
